The towns, deserts, and beaches in the game are all breathtaking. After playing this game, it’s not difficult to believe that some gamers may wish to go to Mexico for themselves.
When it comes to Mexico, Forza Horizon 5’s geography is massive (50 percent bigger than its predecessor, according to Xbox). There’s so much to see and do, yet it never seems overwhelming. In reality, plotting a route to where you want to travel and following that path from one end of the map to the other is really simple. It’s easy to get sidetracked, of course. I’d often find myself going a considerable distance to see a race, only to stop along the way to assist with a dust storm or to see the aforementioned volcano. The diversity is fantastic, and it makes it much simpler to play Forza Horizon 5 for many hours without becoming bored.
The game not only looks beautiful, but it also plays well. I’ll admit that I’m new to the Forza series, and it took me a while to get my bearings. I had a lot of problems learning how to master the game’s twists without spinning off course; I saw “7/12” on my screen so many times that I figured the makers knew my birthday. Even when I was finishing last in each race, the game still rewarded me with experience, which encouraged me to keep looking for ways to improve. The game would sometimes ask if I wanted to lessen the level, but I chose to stay where I began. The rewind option, which enables players to swiftly correct a mistake (or many) by pressing the “Y” button, is a welcome touch. I tried not to depend on it personally, but it was interesting to see how Playground Games came up with so many different methods to make Forza Horizon 5 accessible to newcomers to the franchise.
Long-time fans and newbies alike will appreciate the variety of customizing possibilities available. From the game’s controls to the player character, there are several possibilities for gamers to customize their experience. Players may even give their avatar artificial limbs in the game, which sounds like a great way to make the experience more accessible.
The soundtrack in Forza Horizon 5 is also extremely good. There are a few radio stations to choose from, all of which have been designed to mimic the Sirius XM listening experience. There are a number of wonderful tracks that match the racing idea nicely, and players will have a lot of them stuck in their heads long after the game is over. On a personal level, hearing the Arkells while driving was a joy, and it’s incredible to watch them move from a band I couldn’t locate on iTunes a decade ago to one included in a AAA video game.
It’s difficult to find anything bad to say about Forza Horizon 5. The gameplay is diverse and enjoyable, the soundtrack is excellent, there are several vehicles to unlock, and the game is really stunning to look at. The entire thing is really stunning. Playground Games came up with a variety of methods to bring Mexico to life, using the region’s uniqueness while also pushing the Xbox Series X technology to its utmost. If you possess an Xbox One, you owe it to yourself to play Forza Horizon 5, whether you buy a copy or play it via Xbox Game Pass. It might be one of the greatest showcases for the next-generation period thus yet.
