Sacred Fire, a psychological RPG from publisher Iceberg Interactive and developer Poetic Studios, will be released on Steam Early Access on October 19.
Sacred Fire casts players as a Rome-hunted refugee whose actions are “compromised by fear and anger.” Choices are heavily emphasized in the game, both in terms of narrative and combat, allowing you a variety of ways to make friends and outwit those who want you dead.
Doug Cockle, Michelle Gonzo, and Ben Britton play key narrative NPCs, and if you’re wondering about how Sacred Fire plays, a free trial of the game’s first chapter is now available on Steam.
Players will be able to go through the first of three planned acts as soon as they join Early Access. The remaining two will be available as free updates in the future.
There’s no indication on how long Sacred Fire will be available in Early Access, but the developer will consider player input as it works toward a full release. The game will be accessible exclusively in English at first, with translation efforts beginning “after the narrative is completed.” Below is the most recent trailer for the game.
