The Assault Rifle, which is one of the default weapons in most Splitgate game types, is a weapon that pays off after you learn it. It’s a pretty simple weapon, so you shouldn’t have too much trouble learning how to wield it. It does offer certain unique features and benefits that many assault rifles lack, but overall, it’s one of the most simple (but effective) weapons in Splitgate. You’ll discover all the knowledge and advice you need to utilize the Splitgate Assault Rifle to its best capacity in this tutorial.

Basics of a Splitgate Assault Rifle

One of the most adaptable weapons in the game is the Assault Rifle. Its versatile range makes it a weapon you’ll always want, and its damage ensures it’ll never feel weak. It features a consistent spray pattern, excellent balance, and a large ammunition capacity. It’s without a doubt one of my most favorite weapons to use.
In casual playlists, the AR is one of the default spawn weapons, and it can also be found as a pick-up in most other playlists. In every game style where you don’t start with one, I strongly advise you to attempt to pick one up. It’s such a powerful weapon that until you have one of the power weapons that can replace it, such as the SMG, you’ll always desire one.

When I look at these data, the ones that interest me the most are the damage and fire rate. For an AR, 0.1 seconds is a pretty good rate of fire. It’s not as quick as an SMG, but given the AR’s tremendous damage output, that’s understandable. 13 damage per body shot is excellent, and 18 for a headshot is also excellent. According to the calculations, a kill would need about 8 body bullets or 6 headshots. That’s not terrible at all.
Taking aim and firing
The Assault Rifle is a weapon that is simple to aim. It’s an assault rifle, after all, so there’s not much to it. However, I do not suggest constantly shooting below sights. The hipfire spray on this pistol is really very good, so it’s a good choice in a lot of situations. Aiming down sights is best reserved for mid-range battles or when you truly want to hit someone in the head.

When you look at the hipfire on this weapon in greater detail, you’ll find that it’s much superior than most assault rifles in games. As you would imagine, there is a degree of accuracy loss, but it’s not too terrible. This is one of the most compelling reasons to use this weapon. Having a good close-range or mid-range weapon may rapidly turn a battle around. When an opponent is near enough to move about rapidly, aiming down sights creates disorientation, which is ideal for the Assault Rifle.
In Splitgate, When Should You Use an Assault Rifle?
You’ll find yourself utilizing the Assault Rifle a lot since it’s the default weapon. The ideal moment to utilize it in casual game types is for any close-to-mid-range battle you find yourself in. At this range, the AR is capable of mowing down any opponent, so use it whenever possible.

The AR may be used in a variety of ways, the majority of which entail combining it with other weapons. One of the greatest methods to maximize damage is to start firing at an opponent with the Carbine while they’re still in the mid-range distance, then swap to the AR for a quick kill. This may be done with a number of other weapons as well. Let’s say you get a shotgun hit but it doesn’t kill you. You may switch to AR and kill that individual in a matter of seconds.
The AR is useful for reducing opponents to 0 health, but don’t overlook it as a finisher. It is not necessary to use just one weapon in every battle.
Advanced Advice

Because Splitgate is still a new game, I thought it would be useful to share some personal advice I’ve learnt during the past several months of playing it.
One thing I’ve observed is that the Assault Rifle rapidly becomes a multi-kill machine in casual game settings. You may easily rack up kills in “control the point” game variants like King of the Hill by just strolling into an enemy-controlled region with the AR and going to town. Most players I’ve met hang about with their Carbine or other long-range weapon out, which allows you to catch them off surprise with an AR before they can swap.
This leads me to another suggestion: don’t leave your Carbine unattended! Consider this: if you need your Carbine, the adversary is most likely a long distance away and not a direct danger to you. When you need your AR, though, the adversary is near by or on top of you, posing an imminent danger. You have no chance if you have a Carbine and someone comes around the corner with an SMG.
Gold Gun Challenges for Assault Rifles
To get the gold skin for the Assault Rifle, just complete all of the challenges that are available. To assist you, I’ll go through all of the current tasks and provide some advice on how to accomplish them. Also, keep in mind that there are many levels to each task.

Get Kills: This is one of the easiest–if not the easiest–challenges you’ll ever face. Casual game types, particularly objective ones, are the greatest method to rapidly rack up kills with the AR. That way, you’ll be able to track down individuals and know where they’ll be. That said, I wouldn’t concentrate only on this one. As you work on the others, this one will come easily.
Inflict Damage: With the Assault Rifle, inflicting damage is a breeze. You don’t even have to get the kill! Just go up and fire! I’m going to stop mentioning that since I’m going to suggest objective-based casual modes for all of these challenges, but it’s still true here. However, you may play anything you wish to complete this task. You’ll be OK as long as you start with the AR.
Obtain Headshot Kills: This is a more difficult task. Due of the difficulty of being accurate with an AR, you may have to depend on chance. The easiest way to achieve headshots, in my opinion, is to start by inflicting damage with the Carbine (ideally three body shots) so that all you have to do with the AR is tap them once. It’s far simpler to land a single headshot than it is to keep your recoil under control long enough to finish your opponent with a headshot.
Double Kills: For this one, stick to goal games or rotating fun modes. So far, multiple kills haven’t been a problem for me, particularly in the more enjoyable game types. In such playlists, people are less likely to strive hard, so take advantage of that relaxed mindset.
Kills Through Portals: This is the most difficult option on the list. Getting kills via portals isn’t the most difficult thing to accomplish, but it’s also not simple. And, given the large number of items required, this will most likely take a long time. In King of the Hill, I’ve discovered that shooting your portal within a hill zone is the best method to gain kills via portals. Then simply sit back and murder anybody who comes into view from a safe distance.
15 Kills in a Single Match: Obviously, this challenge requires you to perform very well throughout a match. Even though I haven’t done it yet, it shouldn’t be too difficult to accomplish. I’m willing to bet you’ll get everything done while doing everything else without even noticing it.
Be a part of the High Ground
Splitgate is now one of the most popular games, and the Assault Rifle is one of its most powerful weapons. Splitgate’s fast-paced action sets it apart from many of today’s most popular shooters, so I’m looking forward to seeing where it goes from here. Have a good time playing, and remember to maintain the High Ground!
The splitgate best weapon is a split-second, single shot rifle that can be fired at tremendous speed. It has an excellent range and accuracy for mid to long range combat.
